I will. But I'm just paranoid about the placebo.
Doesn't seem to be a full fix and you'll probably start getting crackles again soon. I tested it on 1, 5, 10, and 100. 100 seemed to work the best but now the crackles are back it seems. Though it does seem to help a tiny bit and at times it seems to help a lot. So it's rather difficult to say if this actually worked. Also no idea what the min/max is for that setting. I checked another game with the same setup and it also had a default of 0, and that game had no sound issues that I know of.
It is found in,
C:\Users\(name you use)\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
How the hell did they ship the game with this setting left at 0?
There's still a weird mixing issue where ambient sounds are much louder than player sounds which is dumb.
Nah Bethesda games are like fun puzzles for the modding community. Which then create a playable version the rest of us can play a year later. Also takes work away from Bethesda when everyone expects their games to be ♥♥♥♥ at launch anyway.
Drastic improvement since I can now hear shields regenerating better and subtle echoes when clicking/navigating on menus
