How to turn off push-to-talk?

I use V for push-to-talk in most games and services I use, and I want to talk to my friends over mumble/discord while playing this game. However, V is the default push-to-talk and it can't be rebound or disabled. How do I stop my voice from coming through, disable push-to-talk, or rebind the push-to-talk key? I tried disabling all in-game voice chat, but it looks as though my mic is still active in game

Potential work around, plug in any sort of audio recording device, another headset, a microphone, a webcam, etc. anything that takes audio input.
select the extra audio recording device as your default recording device and set the volume of it to 0.

In your discord/mumble settings make your original microphone the input so you can still talk with your friends normally.

You can say that again. I was once subscribed to XBL for about 10 years. It's been a blissful 4 years of peace since I left.

I come back today and I keep getting matchmade to US servers and encountering all of these nasally-voiced man-children labelling things by the n-word.
While this is without a doubt essential for a truly faithful port, I think science has gone too far this time. Xbox will be Xbox, even when it's PC apparently. That's what we've learned.

Bump. DMR bores me too. So does slayer. But most of the modes that change your starting guns is just slayer. I can't win.

I don't mind Xbox voicechat, I just don't want to have to choose between no in-game voice or not being able to talk to my friends properly. I'll just keep it off until it's patched I guess, because I'm not going to root around for my webcam to try and work around this
