Also getting kicked out of the scope when hit is really unnerving.
Getting kicked out of the scope is frustrating. I have been adapting myself around never scoping, only using scope to go in for the headshot.
Have you had the connecting to servers thing where you sit there for 5-10 mins waiting? Or played co-op with friends yet on campaign. Its death. This port is rather broken.
Halo is way better than COD for the simple fact that the TTK isn't so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ short in Halo. The great thing about it is that if someone sees you first it doesn't mean you die. They can start shooting you first and if you're more skilled than them you can easily turn the gunfight around and own them.
Halo requires far more skill than a twitch shooter like COD,
I understand that many do not like the TTK in CoD. It is with many weapons a 3 hit kill and the guns fire extremely fast and accurate.
You can however, increase the amount of health. CoD4 and MWR come with an oldschool mode where you have 250 instead of 100 health but nobody plays it. They also provide a playlist with 130 health quite often like in Ghosts and IW.
You have prolongued firefights in here yeah.
I've only played the campaign so far, been loving the graphics this game is amazing when played with my filter settings (check my guide). These old games look really stunning when played in 4K with 60fps and then with some adjustments on top its just lovely.
The weapons in Halo 5 feel really good btw. Especially those yellow alien weapons (not the alliance guys). Totally loving the design. I think they're in Halo 4 as well.
Dual wielding is also still sorely missed. The alliance pistol that you can charge doesn't feel as impactful as it did in Halo 1 and 2.
But the game is fun I am enjoying it. Some of those grenade launcher like weapons are really really fun.
It's actually why I'm excited for 4 to come back. I know a lot of people think of it as a mediocre halo game but I really liked the loadout system and being able to change my weapons whenever I wanted.
Not same type of game: one is pure fantasy, the other is based on real life (more or less)
COD 1 & 2 always were my favorites until AA2. AA2 was real gunfight. Show your head a bit, you're dead. Try be Rambo, you're dead. Get shot in the leg or the arm, still alive, but you may die of bleeding... You have the medic guys, but players must train to become medics! Even if it was a bit tedious, it's still felt cool and rewarding.
In AA2, I even remember playing vs a team that used to press and rush us as we were landing in the crop... Some started to take on us from behind... I was last of my team. So what I did: as I killed one, I used his AK-47 to simulate a gun fight. I waited next to the body in a prone position, didn't move, they showed up, they looked, they turned, I got them, turning the table to my favor.
Matches that could take 5 minutes as they could take 30 minutes +. Shooter game that can become chess game! Much more rewarding! The kind of game where every detail counts, even the sound!
Yes and no, remember that this also dilutes the playerbase between multiple game's playlists
In 2010 Crysis was 3 years old and we got Battlefield 3 which is a Bad Company 2 remake sorta so...
Shooters didn't really evolve much since back then. Arguably there's Overwatch and Call of Duty 2019 and survival trash and jumpjet stuff like Titanfall but really, first person shooters are still the same.
