We are back at it again with another weekly playlist update! This week both the Winter Contingency and Valentines events have come to an end. If you met the criteria for each event to earn the nameplates, you should have them unlocked now! With the end of these events, some playlist changes have been made today. This week’s playlist update rewards you in unique ways for how you defeat enemy Spartans. Power Slayer for Halo: Reach is coming online as this week’s featured category for Social 4v4 and FFA. This unique twist on slayer grants you temporary powerups based on how you kill enemies. Earn increased movement when defeating an enemy, increased health for melee kills, an enhanced motion sensor for assassinations, and increased damage for finishing off an opponent with a headshot. Details for what’s new are below:

Hello Friends,
Today’s playlist update is mixing in some new with some old for a fresh new option to play. Fiesta is coming to MCC as this week’s featured playlist. This will mark the first time it rotates into matchmaking for Halo: Combat Evolved ever! On top of this, to help make your time inside a little more enjoyable, we've turned on Double XP globally for MCC and Halo 5. Logging in to Halo 5 will also earn you free Arena and Warzone XP Boost Packs weekly. Full details are below:

Haloween Celebration Event
From now until November 4th, complete challenges in our Haloween Celebration Event to unlock two brand-new nameplates: Shotgun Shell and Spider Web. You can see all the challenges and track your progress through your in-game Challenge Hub. Remember, this event ends at 10am on November 4th so don't delay!
Ranked Playlists
Beginning on October 21, the consolidation and rotation of our ranked playlist offerings will begin. The Halo 2: Classic, Halo 2: Anniversary, and Halo: Reach Hardcore playlists will be removed as stand-alone playlists and will rotate monthly, starting with Halo: Reach Hardcore. The other playlists will remain with no changes at this time.
