The campaign for Reach is more like 6 hours long.
Halo has never had long campaigns. In fact I remember getting Halo 2 as a kid and beating it in one day on a Saturday, it took me like 8 hours. I also just saw a comment on one of these threads on Steam stating that Halo 2 had one of the longest Halo campaigns...so take that as you will.
There is also Firefight to consider. Reach, for me, would be worth 16$.
Mate, on HLTB most FPS campaigns take around 8 hours. HLTB says Reach takes 8 and a half hours. So pretty average for an FPS, except this is way better than the vast majority.
On a first playthrough? Yeah... no. That's absurd. Unless you're really good and decide to play on Easy for some reason.
