Is it possible to add MCC Windows 10 version onto Steam Library?

I own the Xbox version back in 2015, and I JUST discovered that I do not have to own another copy through Steam now. Is it possible to add the game onto my Steam library? It's not that much of a big deal but it is only an OCD problem of mine. Also, not through adding non-steam games***

windows apps don't run through a standard exe and they're hidden in a folder that you shouldn't touch if you want everything to stay working.

so no, but you can shove it in your start menu on windows.

I see. Still though, it kinda bothers me how I own the game but not on Steam because I want all my PC games to stay on one platform. Just seeing MCC being the only game on Windows triggers my OCD.

You don't own it on the Microsoft Store, there is no Play Anywhere compatibility with PC. So you have the digital Xbox One version and that's it, you didn't get the PC version of the MCC, not even from the Microsoft Store.

You can buy a single copy of Sea of Thieves or Forza and play it on both Xbox One and the MStore, but NOT with the Halo MCC.

So you are going to have to buy it either on Steam or the MStore if you want to play it on PC, no way around it.
