Emblems
Is anybody else having an issue with their custom emblem not actually being present on their player model? I'm stuck with a generic gear/smiley emblem instead of the one I set in the customisation menu, and it's especially obvious during campaign.

Yes, and it pisses me off tbh

The default emblem is a smiley face because not all of the emblems for mcc are in each game, so 343 made it so only one appeared. People keep calling it a "bug". It's not really one. It's to deal with a problem. If adding the emblems was that simple they would've done it when they were fixing mcc.

The emblem I'm using WAS in Reach, though. It's been in every Halo game (aside from CE), actually. If only the one generic emblem is going to appear, what's the point in having emblems appear on the armor at all?

Even if they stuck with one emblem, why the smiley face?? Not to be a softy, but there are some serious/emotional scenes in Halo (Reach) and the smiley ruins it (especially if you're somehow new to the Halo series).
No clue.

It's actually not that hard to add them. It's a texture being slapped over a pre-allocated space on the player model and on top of the already existing textures. The problem is, they'd have to add all of them, and if they add more emblems, they'd have to then add them as well.

It's a "bug". I tried several icons to try to solve the problem and I managed to place behind the smiley the "gear" icon during the campaign (even if I did not choose this one at that time !).

So the "smiley face" is not the default icon of MCC: It is possible to modify it a bit, but it's out of control, so it's a bug.

I'm having the same issue as well, glad to know I'm not the only one having, it's especially obvious to me because I made the armor my Noble 6 white, so having a blue smiley face on it makes look rather weird.

Apparently this is not a bug, i've read that 343 doesnt know how to work with the emblem, so they put the smiley by default.

I'm more upset that the background emblem sets are slightly off center to the front ones and it's more noticeable if you just use the basic shapes

I use a basic circle as my emblem background, and can say that it appears to be exactly centred.

Well I think the smiley face is like the look noble 6 gives you before he snaps your neck or stabs you with your friends sword.
