Mine just says "Searching For Players" but never finds more than one. It's been like a full two hours since the game was ready to play now and I haven't even had a single multiplayer match yet :(

Sign in change: This is the easiest resolution. Try this first.

From the main or matchmaking menu, press [R] to open the roster (the panel on the right side of the screen containing player cards.
From the roster, select your player card (marked by your gamertag) in the upper right.
Select 'Change Profile' > 'Yes'.
Press [Enter] and follow the on-screen instructions to sign back into your Xbox Live profile. Ensure this is the profile you used to sign up for Halo Insider.
Navigate back to Firefight > Matchmaking and search again.

Using Credential Manager: If the sign in change doesn't work, follow these steps for resolution.

Close your Halo: The Master Chief Collection game client.
From your desktop, open the Windows Start Menu.
Search for "Credential Manager" in the Cortana bar.
Select 'Windows Credentials' (the icon of a monitor next to a safe in the top right of the Credential Manager window).
Scroll down the 'General Credentials' list to find 'Xbl|DeviceKey'.
Select 'Xbl|DeviceKey' > 'Remove'.
Relaunch Halo: The Master Chief Collection from Steam.
Press [Enter] and follow the on-screen instructions to sign back into your Xbox Live profile. Ensure this is the profile you used to sign up for Halo Insider.
Navigate back to Firefight > Matchmaking and search again.

I had to do both of these steps and it fixed it for me. got it from here https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/f3681fbc78fa43878c4aec9a63a46224/topics/contacting-server-on-steam-fllgiht-test/cf6c5882-ae32-4b65-a97d-2ab4d7e215c6/posts

On Vodafone, tried everything, then turned on my vpn and worked straight away.

Got it working without VPN, had broadband controls to block violent content, switched it off now works fine. If people have this issue check parental controls on the router or your boradband account. Mkae sure nat type is open as well. Check xbox live settings in windows.

If none of what is previously said works and you are on SKY, turn off your Sky Broadband shield since it can block halo's matchmaking for some odd reason, this works for me.
