Good find. Thanks.
Ah you were right.

Quote from Halo devs,
""To update Halo: Reach for Xbox One and PC required entirely changing the encoding for the game’s audio, which has resulted in it sounding different from the original release."
"We are aware that areas of the title don’t sound like what you or we ideally want them to."
As for a fix, 343 Industries have said that it "will take some time to work through solutions to improve the overall experience for audio, and that work is already underway"."
With those two games, I am guess the audio would be OK. They might be able to use the original PC audio.
Probably said this already but...
Not seeing a "Bad audio quality" fix section on the site you linked. Was it removed? Have another link?
I still haven't found any way around the sounds becoming "distorted" during some in-between video sequences. Some voice-lines are difficult to hear, like there is some sort of major echo, distorting it. It´s like the audio is played too slow, or something...
Messing around with it's audio sliders can also improve the sounds from being "muffled" to some extend.
For me the echo is the biggest issue. Haven´t figured out anything to prevent that. (yet)
And it always happens at the same places, or during the same cutscenes.
And whenever the camera-angle changes, it may improve.
It´s kind of weird. I´ll keep looking into it. If I find something, I´ll let you know.
The changed file is in: "C:\Users\*Username*\AppData\LocalLow\MCC\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini
Look for AudioQualityLevel near the bottom.
Ah, ok. I found this online after posting.
It did not fix it for me, though I am still tinkering with it. So far only lowering the audio quality has worked, but I don't like doing that for just one game, and changing it back etc.
Would prefer an ini fix or patch, which I will wait for. I'm glad some fixes are working for some people though! Thank you!
I tried this, but it didn't fix it.

I get a bit of crackling noise in the intercom. I get the dull guns sounds.
However I find it almost playable if I turn it up enough to make the gun sounds a bit louder. Am actually not playing on at the moment, and still hoping for a fix before refund time expires.
