Windows 8.1 compatible?
Yes, I know. I am an idiot for running 8.1. Thanks for the reminder. Anyways, do we know if 8.1 is compatible? I already know 7 and 10 will work.

There is no real reason that it did not work with Windows 8.1. No worries.

A couple of months ago, 343 said 7 and 10 will work and "we are looking into 8/8.1". If 8.1 automatically works because of 7, then why would 343 say that? Thanks!

No reason really, it's just to pan out the bugs that might occur with different OS, it's not something big to be concerned
If anything happen, you can just run game on win7 compatible mode

You could try switching backwards compatibility from Windows 8.1 to 7.

I use 8.1 Not upgrading to 10 because i've heard that version is awful.
Anyways, i don't see why it wouldn't work with W8. Unless the requirements say "Windows 41 only".

it works with windows 8.1 unless it is DirectX12 only wich i think won't be happening. Also if it works with windows 7 it will work with windows 8

It is not a bad thing to have windows 8.1 since there is not a settings menu and alot of features of control panel are now baked in settings and that is awful (personal preference) the only reason i run Win 10 is directX12

Nah, whatever 8.1 do, 10 do it a lot better
I use 8 and 8.1 when it first came out, 8 was just bad, 8.1 is a bit better then 10 just blow everything away
Not regret it one bit for the 10 upgrade
