If your buy just Halo Reach do you get a discount on the MCC?
Wanted to play Reach mostly but was considering buying the entire MCC. I was wondering if you get a discount on part of the MCC if you buy Reach only first.

Are you sure? For all other games if you purchase 1 thing in the bundle the bundle becomes cheaper since you already own 1 of the games in it.

from the Autumn Sale, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, of course not, if there was a chance for a discount to be within the nature of the collection it'd be highly likely during those, but it wasn't, I waited for those specific days to see if it would, so that's an automatically ruled out, considering nothing else is released for this collection, there would be no other incentive to have a discount, usually games that have games released already and releasing a new one after a few months is more likely for any developer to have sales on previously released games before the new one, while the new one will have no sale/discount although I don't think that'd be the case for this collection since it's already pre-planned to finish the collection pretty fast

welcome to thread number 981 where people don't understand the difference between packages and bundles

if you don't know what a package is, please stop posting incorrect information and misleading people

you will not get discounts or extra copies

thank you for your attention to this matter and we'll see you in 20 minutes for the next thread

What are you talking about?
Do you have any proof that if you buy Reach then buy the MCC you will have to pay the full price?

That's a strange way to spell "thank you for answering my question, I wish those other people didn't spread misinformation, sorry I didn't use the search bar"

The proof is that's how steam packages have worked for over a decade.

I mean even if you screw up and buy Reach then the entire MCC bundle you are still getting it cheaper than buying everything separately. Reach, 1, 2, 3, and 4 are $10 a piece and ODST is $5. The bundle is $40. So buying the bundle normally gets you 4 and ODST for free while screwing up and double buying Reach just gives you ODST for free.
