The thing about compression technologies and how they're used is that... well, just take Gears of War 4 for example, it launched at over a HUNDRED gigabytes, but they eventually patched it and it dropped the file size to 78GB on Xbox One and 93GB on Windows 10.
That's a pretty big file size difference between the two platforms.
