Mod Does not start with ENB installed

Hi, Im trying to install ENB for Enderal SE(Steam version). The game does not launch when the .dll files are copied, works fine without. Tried old versions of ENB, no luck. How to fix this.

EDIT: Fixed it, RTSS was the culprit. Works fine when disabled

don't cross-post thinking you'll see more answers, please...

there's got to be a dozen ENBs specifically for EnderalSE on nexus* alone, why not follow one of their install guides if you're having trouble? I mean you didn't even say what you've tried, what version of enbseries .dlls you're trying to get working, I assume 0.50x but hope "old versions" doesn't drop below 0.484 complex texture addition era... but that's assuming for both, so why don't you tell us?

you also don't say what GPU we're talking about here, you play lots of old games and a considerable amount of DOTA2 (dude... 5k+ hours? a respectful bow to the master.) ENBs are amazing but are also notoriously power-hungry when you really boost the settings, so if you're not experienced with using/tweaking, even with a hefty GPU, getting it to work might not be where the trouble stops; when losing 30+ fps doing so makes you irritated and you disable it. not everybody needs an 80 model RTX, but it sure does help. (as a rule, older slower low-vram GPUs are quite painful to ENB with.)

you do know that skse outputs logs, yeah? go to where the saves are and look for an skse directory and the file skse64.log will tell you what .dlls aren't loading and why... but I guess that depends on how far you get in the startup process...

thanks for taking the time to reply. I've played Skyrim SE with ENB and tons of other mods without any issue and I'm running a 3070. I've followed most of the ENB preset guides on Nexus, they all just say to download ENB binaries and install, and I've tried all the ENB versions for SSE even ones for Oldrim.

also should I use the steam version of enderal(which appears to be discontinued) or from the mod page which still is being updated.
