Better than Oblivion remaster
I found myself enjoying this over the Oblivion Remaster. Anyone?

Oblivion remaster tried to melt my rig. I had to return it after 2 hours. *sad face* .

I was going to go back to OG Oblivion modding madness, then I remembered Enderal. This might be the best total conversion mod I've ever played. I love Skyrim, but this is smarter, tighter, more challenging. And as far as mods? this is a one-stop click and done. Suddenly you have a brand new game (with your Skyrim files still intact).

It's bloody brilliant!

The so-called remaster suffers from being very unoptimized blurry slop with limited mod capability and still a broken mess since it's UE5 over the old, so most games would be better anyway.

If you want an updated version of Enderal you have to get it here: https://mod.pub/enderal-se/38-enderal-se, and add it as a normal mod to Skyrim in MO2/Vortex.

I'm re-playing Enderal while I wait for Skyblivion.

Enderal is extremely good, so it should come as no surprise that you could enjoy it more than Oblivion. Hell the only reason I'm enjoying Enderal, is because it is one of, if not the most recommended RPGs of the last 5 years. Frankly, it's delivering on almost every front.

I found out about this game thanks to a YouTube video comparing 'Elder Scrolls-like' games, which claimed this was the best one. Without even realizing it, I’m slowly abandoning Oblivion for this. It made me question whether I was ever truly interested in Oblivion in the first place. Skyrim was my first TES, and I prefer this one, and something tells me I’ll prefer Skyblivion over the official remake too.
I unfortunately have a potato PC and can't run Oblivion Remastered, but I've played a fair share of RPGs and can firmly say Enderal is by far my favorite as far as story, sound track (literally the best OST i've heard in years), and imo world as well. Enderal just felt so alive to me, not sure how to put it.

i know aint it? The writer for this game, Nicholas Letisau i think? he wrote a prequel to this game that follows Jespar its like 900 pages! its HUGE and Ben Brittan? i think thats his name, he did the voice for Jespar, he read the entire book for the audio book thats on Spoitfy. But if u want to buy the book get it from him on his website https://www.nicolaslietzau.com/ hes a really cool dude they have a discord channel too (the devs) and are very helpful and chill. Ive been reading/listening to audio book for 3 years now lol still not done it. Ben does multiple voices on the audiobook too its awesome.

**Fun Fact about the writer**
Nick had some buisness problems with the origianl novel and had to do a recall and I couldnt afford to ship it back to him to get the "updated" version so he sent me a free key/copy of the audiobook on Spotify. I thought that was so awseome No one has ever done anything like that for me let alone a writer for a freaking novel on the other side of the globe that i dont even know.

You didn't need to ship it back, rather, consider the original version as a limited and a much prized edition. I certainly do. ;)

If you want more info about the trademark thing making it impossible to continue with the same Enderal/Vyn names in the book you can find it over on the reddit page (basically revolving around separating the fan made creation and a possible commercialization on it).

But yeah, cool guy for giving it to you like that.

Nope. It's good, just not better than Oblivion. And if you can't run Oblivion Remastered, then play standard Oblivion on Ultra settings. It's a pretty game

Almost everything in oblivion remastered except the writing is worse than a modded Skyrim game.
It's better to play Enderal now and wait a while for modder to work on OR nexus.
It's totally chaos when so many people paid 50$ for an old game with updated graphics.

I wanted to love Oblivion:Remastered. But my rig choked on Unreal 5. No amount of tinkering and dropping settings will get this to play smooth 30 frames for me, I need a new computer to play this game. (insert sad frustrated face)

So now I have a goal!
