Do you use Vortex? It updated the Enderal SE plugin today which probably changed the ini and with that the savegame location.
At least that was an issues with someone else today.
It can be that Vortex changed the Enderal.ini which pointed to the Skyrim SE folder "My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Saves" and now has been changed to the Enderal SE one "My Games\Enderal Special Edition\Saves"
check the Enderal.ini in the folder "My Games\Enderal Special Edition" for "SLocalSavePath=" it should look like this "SLocalSavePath=..\Enderal Special Edition\Saves\"
is it points to the Skyrim SE directory it's written "SLocalSavePath=..\Saves\"
make sure it point to the Enderal SE folder, then you can check if the saves are in the Skyrim SE folder and copy it into the save folder of Enderal SE.
i am starting to hate this game with a passion .
Turned out that Vortex previously was rewriting Enderal.ini to look for saves in Skyrim folder, and today they "fixed" that. Just take your saves from Skyrim SE folder to Enderal SE - and everything will be fine!
