Enderal SE: SLocalSavePath=..\Enderal Special Edition\Saves\
Funnily enough, when I click the "open save folder" button on the launcher, it DOES open the Enderal one... but it's EMPTY lol.
Just out of minor curiosity, how about deleting both the save folders (backup, obviously), and then start (a new) Enderal. What happens then? Where does it create folder + the save (if any)?
If it created one in Skyrim SE it's obviously a bug within Enderal, unless Steam somehow hijacks the call via the overlay (which I highly doubt).
There's a difference here; an antivirus either blocks or it doesn't, it doesn't tell Enderal where to save. If it were blocked by an antivirus (or Windows) there have to be a "failsave" path already inside of Enderal to save in Skyrim SE's save folder IF it fails to save in Enderal's save folder.
I've seen this problem crop up once in a while but never experienced it myself on the new verison. In the past Enderal did use the same path as Skyrim, but that was a long time ago.
Thanks for pointing that out, completely forgot that.
Hey guys! So, I just tried both: I put the whole enderal folder as an exception on my AV (heck, I put the whole common folder as an exception as well), and set the launcher to run as admin. I also made backups and deleted the save folders. What happened was that it created a "SKYRIM SE" folder instead of an Enderal one T . T
So how can I "unblock" the SKSE plugin?
EDIT: When I open the launcher, it creates the Enderal folder, when the game itself opens, the Skyrim folder is created.
Best is to just eliminate the AV entirely by disabling it completely and then proceed to try everything again. If it still does it while AV is off, it's not because of the AV.
I run skse64_loader.exe directly as Admin, though it's via MO2 and have no problem there (have no active AV running in the background either).
Perhaps the mod organiser can sort that out by keeping them separate, short of actually removing everything and start over by installing Enderal first, which I did.
Last resort, change the relative path of both of them to an absolute one (like F:\SkyrimSEsave and G:\Enderalsave). Cumbersome, but, they will now save in different folders.
I uninstalled Skyrim and Enderal, deleted everything from My Documents, installed Enderal again, it did the same thing, and not only that, now Skyrim shows as installed on Steam (clicking it does nothing). I'll just work around the saves showing up in each other's games. It's less of a headache than trying to fix it. But thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.
