There is a very good chance you will permanently bug out your main quest.
The game explicitly has no fast travel for reasons.
It checks if at the moment you're even allowed to fast travel (for example using tp scrolls) - if not, the whole feature is disabled.
As for the OP - use tgm command in console before fast travel so you'll be immortal and not taking any damage. Use it again after to disable immortaility.
- Fixed an issue where the game thought the player looses health all the time (fixes sleeping/fast travel etc.)
