And you are only adding more content to a broken game. This is actually the only driving sim game without a decent steering wheel support. Every time you guys announce a new update I check if the one thing we all want fixed is actually fixed, and sadly its a dissapointment every single time :(
Thats not really true, my steering wheel (Logitech G29) used to work absolutely fine. But since the next stop update the steering wheel is giving the max amount of force feedback all the time. Sliders for force feedback in the settings dont actually change the amount of force. Makes the game unplayable for me since I am not someone who buys a driving sim to drive around with a normal controller or keyboard. I dont know if this problem only occurs with the G29 but I have seen a lot of people complain about this.
It's not the game nor it's devs messing your wheel up. Since an update on Windows sometime in April 2021 I've had various steering wheel issues with a PXNV900 then another wheel. I thought maybe the expensive wheels were better supported but based on your comment I guess it's a good thing I didn't spend my life time insurance on one nor sold my soul on one.
MS wanted to go phones only back during Windows 8 aka Metro UI which to put a very long story short they fired a lot of their 'tech' team and replaced with people from Nokia during a buy out (which was asinine to begin with) WHILE Windows 8 was being developed. Windows 8.1 was a half baked fix but by then it was pretty much too late which a lot of businesses unless they physically couldn't were dropping Microsoft from their subscriptions. MS lost more respect during Windows 8 then any other time in history until possibly Windows 12 if it winds up being cloud only when it's released.
This is partially why retro PC's have seen a steep increase in costs to where it costs as much to get one as it is to upgrade your existing PC which at least your existing PC your guaranteed availability of parts. unlike retro PC's where if something internally breaks you can play the 'rabbit' hole of finding a spare part all you want but you may wind up paying as much or more then fixing your current PC if something breaks.
(Unless we have another Long Beach shipping crisis) Fingers crossed we don't.
What about Fern Bus? People seem to say wheels don't work yet though I can't confirm it myself but there seems to be loads of steering issues in that sim yet DLC maps keep being released for it with Denmark being the most recent one back in June. 🤷♂️
It is a weird issue indeed but because my steering wheel works perfectly fine in all the other driving games I play I dont suspect my wheel or a windows update to be the problem.
