next update free update and after ?
Hello, the next update is free with an additional map, and money management in the free mode with everything unlocked from the start.

it's great but I still have questions for the devs:
you still haven't added fuel restoration management, it's a bit of an abuse, we've been asking for this since the game was released.

if this dlc is free there will still be paid dlc bus, when is the next bus dlc?

Fuel management isn't planned yet. But yes, there is more content to come in the future. A sneek peak can be found in our roadmap: https://roadmap.bussimulator.com/

even adding a fuel cost line in the interface is this not feasible?

and compared to the new map, is it an extension of the usa map where the map plays as a map on its own, as if it was a new city?

The Map Extension expands the US map and introduces a new area - including some new features, missions etc. :-)

Damage (not necessarily visible) wear, repair, dirt (wash at garage) would be a brilliant path to go if your going Management and business models.

Plus the biggest irk I have with the game is passengers getting on through the out door! Or just getting on and walking past the bus driver. That just doesn’t happen in real life. The driver just kicks people off or shouts at them to get back to the front and pay!!
This is one major reason I stopped playing and tried OMSI2 - which I’ve never put down for well over 100 going on hours.
It’s what a bus driver *should* be doing and how passengers **should** behave!

I’m sick of getting up to check tickets and finding 3-4 that haven’t paid and getting fined, putting me late and behind schedule or people just walking in through the outdoor at EVERY stop. Just fix that nonsense!!!!
This should be realistically called “Bus Conductor Simulator” because that’s all I do…..

It’s supposed to be a chill out game not “let’s watch people walk past the driver and not pay while I’m watching you do it or get in through the out door”. Personally I would just kick them off the bus if I could. It’s just stressful and not fun anymore.

In fact, I’m just putting this into a negative review for that reason

I deactivated all that myself, as I know that it is not at the top, I just content myself with driving.

the only thing that bothers me as I said since the release of the game is that there is nothing on the refueling, nor the cost of the discount for the buses that is not whatever.

Yeah but what’s the point of being a bus driver if you don’t take fares and turn it all off. You may as well enjoy driving in ETS2 or ATS as just a driver.

- different for OMSI2 as it has automated bus tickets onboard. Though to see the passengers from U.K.,France,Germany, America etc buses handing over *real* currency and you giving them *real* change is just so rewarding and talking to you in their native language just the cherry on the cake. Even if you don’t take fares in OMSI2 passengers take the tickets and board and leave correctly. Not to mention the fact that the busses have real heaters and engines that need to warm up inc real IBIS route setups and audio, rattles and real roads from the time. Fuel consumption, buses that get dirty and you can wash and refuel and they also suffer damage like broken indicators, headlights if you have collisions with traffic!

Bus sim 21 needs to get a grip of this. I can understand at least semi-automatic tickets or fares but passengers just winding you up…..no chance, this is broken.

I understand your defensible point of view.

I prefer BS21 to ets or omsi because it's already more pleasant technically and in terms of controls too, and I want to drive buses, not trucks.

and the passenger ticket management aspect doesn't really interest me, it's above all driving and cost management (petrol + ticket prices, salary) that interests me for my part and I admit on this side to be seduced by no game of bus.
Bobby Mar 2, 2023 @ 3:00am
Well your cost (petrol + ticket prices and salary) are what OMSI2 does at its core by using Bus Company Simulator directly inline with the base game. It also has mechanical repairs, accumulating mileage on the buses and you can sell them online and buy new or used buses for your fleet and countries to use them in.
You clearly don’t remember that in OMSI2 you can have no tickets, easy mode or realistic mode.
So you can drive real routes and buses as you see fit. As for controls, well using a G29 and a tablet (android or iOS) you can download the free app that syncs up with OMSI2 and you can open close doors, dispense tickets, change (or not) with OMSI, displays speeds, temperature and using TrackIR it’s all just bliss. Bus Sim 21 is very arcade in its driving and acceleration! The roads also have the same potholes and no dynamic day, night cycle nor weather. (In OMSI2 the weather is real time in Germany for eg that you drive in, just like Flight Sim# ) in bus sim 21 You just pick one weather type or randomise but you don’t get realistic driving experiences. That you cannot deny.
The busses are always immaculate in BS21, never get dirty or need washed or even damaged- never mind wear of any sort….
But I can forgo that if they would fix the crap passengers system!

Bus Sim 21 does have a dynamic day/night and weather cycle, in fact 1 min irl is 1 min in game.

TBH, I’ve never witnessed it. I’m going to put that down to the routes being far too short to even make a visible impact.
I know that OMSI2 has real weather because the routes last 40mins to well over 1hr, then of course you can do a circular route back and continue as long as the bus doesn’t breakdown!
GraphiteGB Mar 5, 2023 @ 5:39am
Yep dynamic weather is real it goes sunny 1 min and then rain the next 3 mins then sunny and then its can be having lightning and thunder for the next 2 hours... the flash happens first and then there is a real delay till thunder audio hits...

Day to night takes many hours around 8PM the light level changes start to kick in..
moons not up till 9 ish and it's not dark dark until 10PM kicks in and then theres tons of light pollution from the cities but go into timber ridge woods and then its actually dark and get lost in the dark..
