STUCK - Elevator Bug??? Please help!
I have been stuck at an elevator for about half an hour. I haven't been able to figure out what's wrong. The elevator starts going up but stops before it reaches the top and goes back down. I've tried jumping and moving around but I couldn't find any way to make it go up or reach the top. Finally I gave up and looked at a walkthrough video, and apparently it is supposed to go all the way up? When this person gets on the elevator it goes right to the top (link is queued up to the right moment): https://youtu.be/r-mGAbZ3eeE?t=15224

But when I try, this is what happens: https://youtu.be/LGxbKTYCDUo

Note: it stops well before the top and sends me flying upward (I am not jumping).

I want to close the game and just walk away for now but I'm pretty sure if I quit the game at this point, when I start it again I will have to do this entire segment over again, I will be outside in the desert instead of at the very end of this area. I found that out the hard way already.

What is going on? Is this a bug, or is there some secret I am missing for getting this elevator to the top? Please help!

Alright, I managed to get up. It took about a hundred tries but at last I managed to jump at just the right moment and had enough sideways momentum to get over the lip at the top. That was miserable, though. I have to assume it's a bug, since there was no indication whatsoever what I was meant to do.

I'm sorry you had to go through so much trouble with this, I'll try to reproduce it and fix it. If it ever happened again, try change the graphic options to minimum and set max fps to 60 or 30, it's possible that the physics are going crazy due to fps drops.

Thank you for the response. If something like that happens again I will try that (and let you know if it works). I've finished this area for now but I might revisit it later when I go back looking for the secrets.

Press the reset button and wait a moment, the elevator should return down after a few seconds.

Same happened to me, v1.30705(?) using Proton 7.0-4 on Linux. Tried turning down some of the graphics settings (including setting the framerate limit to 30 which felt like it didn't work, may be Proton's fault), no change.
Also the halfpipe at the bottom is really laggy though, again, that may just be Proton.
I eventually got up by doing the same precise jump as OP, managing to gain enough height to hit the elevator "call" volume for the upper floor, then the platform pushed me one last time and I reached the upper floor. Said volume seems to be entirely within the elevator shaft, not including any part of the upper floor.

for me it's quite opposite. When I set the frame rate to 30 it happened occasionally, but when I set it to 60 it never disturbed me. I doubt the graphic quality or something others matter.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
