I did the same, on top of the fact I am literally new to the game, I played a bit in learning a few characters, then spent more time in the Krypt, because in order to unlock stuff you have to use the Krypt and realized, it's literally an adventure mode on it's own considering you find new items for area progression, find secrets within the Krypt and new abilities to access more areas in the Krypt, if only it wasn't all so complicated
