I was jumping between characters back and forth and that's not a good way to go in my opinion, you get even more overwhelmed. Once you learn how do combos, special moves and eventually chain them together on one character, it's easier to learn others since you will have the basics.
I would suggest Noob Saibot and Skorpion, these were my first two picks. They have somehow simple combos and simple special moves.
I would (personally) avoid any characters / special moves that have stances (like the Erron Black one, that just killed my brain)
Story is pretty good but there is the issue of switching characters frequently (every 4 battles or so) so again, you have to constantly check move lists.
Also don't be afraid to tag moves, it helps a lot.
My bad then, when I tried Erron for the first time, I saw the stance and I went WTF.
Is there any other beginner friendly chars you'd reccomend?
I tried Noob, Skorpion, Mileena and Fujin, my latest hero to play would be Kollector who I picked up just now, he seems....quite strong maybe a bit too strong.
Ok thanks a bunch!
I'll stick with Saibot, Skorpion and Kollector....started to try Erron in Towers and Practice...he can have some simple but nasty mixups.
He is a versatile character, offers you fast mids (F3 and B1 are 11f), those strings are great staggers, you have a nice strike/throw game on F3 and options on his B1 string, he has some good ranged attacks (F11, F2, F4), a KB punish on 121, good projectiles, great corner carry and pressure, and a great counter-zoning tool on his teleport, that also works for strategies.
On his downsides, his movement is not great but his range and teleport make up for that, and that you need to have the teleport on his abilities when an extra slot could have taken him to the next level.
Please explain, what are the F3, B1, 11f etc. I am so lost each time someone mentions them
