Relatar problema de tradução
Yeah I've seen this alot, change and ruin a beloved franchise then call people who complain manchildren. That has worked out so well in the past, keep it up.
Idk man, this looks like it took real effort. If he's going this far just as a satire post, then gotta give the guy credit because I'm convinced he's serious lol.
It would not be a problem if they were not a double standard.
Show skin on women? NO!!!! It is disrespectful!
Show skin on men? No problem, they can even be pantless...
If you can not see the problem that just mean you are a SJW.
Yup, you got me, SJW to the core here.
Personally think the new costume designs are way more unique and badass than a minimal revealing outfit, which I'm pretty sure we'll still get when they start releasing classic costumes for characters like Kitana and Jade (leotard attires from MK 2 and 3 probably I'd imagine). Really don't think they're pushing an agenda as much as you guys think.
DLC is coming at staggering price points !
guessing the final price with all DLC including mk9 style outfits will cost HUNDREDS of $.
Lap it ALL up foolish money wasting tools, make big daddy WB very wealthy
It kind of does matter, though. Without the proper atmosphere and art direction, a mechanically sound game can become boring and dull. The reason a lot of fighters have flashy characters pulling off elaborate super moves is to provide spectacle, and a fun atmosphere that draws people in. Fighters used to be staple arcade games, and the design of which was always cranked up to 11 in order to draw attention to your machines away from every other flashy blinging light-box in a room full of flashy blinging light-boxes.
Mortal Kombat always took a bit more of a realistic design choice, but used the gore and hyper-violence as a spectacle to draw people in. That gore and violence has largely become passe now, and without the flashy appealing characters - there's not much to draw people in. To me, Mortal Kombat has always been competent, but never one of the leaders in the genre mechanically. Not like Capcom, SNK, or Arksys have been. VirtuaFighter was one of the premier technical 3D fighters around, but after 3D became the norm and it was no longer special - the series never was able to get the kind of staying power that more bombastic offerings like Tekken or Soul Calibur or DoA were offering.
With the series one spectacle gimmick no longer having the draw it used to, I don't think the current direction they're going is a healthy one for the brand, and I feel it's a gross betrayal of the roots of the series which distinguished itself above the din by reveling in controversy. Now they are bending to avoid it. It kills the spirit of the series, and that's a large part of why I decided not to buy it. I hadn't played a MK game in a while, and I was thinking it was about time to jump back in. After the reveals, well - now is apparently not the time. It doesn't feel like any MK game I'm familiar with.
That is your opinion and I respect it. But the dev used a BS reason about why female characters do not have old style costume but did not applied the same way of thinking for the male characters. Why?
They are pushing an agenda and want to please SJW and feminist (even one member of the team is a fan of Anita Saarkisian... how surprising...)

This ideology has been successfully diffused by a massive infusion of Right think tank figureheads, provocative political pundits, and homogeneous digital ideological spaces. Their target audience laps it up because they have no conception of the difference between equality and equity, or even that games are cultural creations that do not exist in a political vacuum.
Steve is the member you're referring too and he's a QA analyst. He literally tests the quality of the game to make sure there aren't bugs and such. Somehow I'm supposed to believe he has creative power over the game?
Let's say in some bizzaro world a QA analyst/tester did have this power and it's 100% true that they're catering to the SJW audience, it really doesn't bother me in the slightest because I'm playing MK for the gameplay and story, and not to get off to animated video-game characters (because 1: They're animated/not real. 2: IRL girlfriend and porn exist for those urges). Definitely prefer the much more complex outfits than their previous costumes, adds a lot more to their characters and look way cooler overall. Also, like I said, I fully expect their more revealing classic costumes to eventually arrive for those who do care about that.
Again, your taste. Do I still need to say, I do not care?
The problem is not if the costume are good or not but the BS excuse of NRS and the double standard.
Men are still half naked and less complexe costume. Why?
