When you scam someone, you take their money based off you selling something through misinformation, deception, or similar, or simply not delivering on said promises. It's also illegal.
In this case, it's not a scam. You get the game as advertised, and you get a discount for buying early.
Now, I'm not advocating pre-order culture, where people blindly buy into things based on promises. Personally, I only pre-order when I know I'm going to get the game anyway, and that I'll enjoy my time with the game. This includes research, looking at interviews and actual gameplay, etc. I held off on pre-ordering MK11 until it was like 2 weeks till launch, because I wanted to see D'vorah first.
More often than not, I'll wait until a game comes out and watch the reviews before buying.
Anyway, I knew what I was paying for when I did decide to pre-order, and I got what I was paying for, so not a scam.
and you did know 30fps cap on pc , dsynch , frame drops , crash issues , patch lots of days after consoles and all of that Before pre ordering right ? hahahahahha sure dude , i dont marry to anygame or industry i say what i think about DLCs pre ordering trash and marketing they all bunch of liars , you can see it or not its your problem , you sounded like a Blizzard fan to me with that answer , like oh yeah im going to research on the game 1month before i pre-order blablabla then you install the game have issues and lots of stuff you didnt see on that ''pre-order pre research'' , look what day is it and we still have frame cap , they delete a post about a dude that created a 60fps mod that doesnt break the game , they also have Frost on steam store to cashgrab those who dont want to play the story game but dont put there shao kahn same way ? , ppl so blind these days but oh well keep preordering stuff ;D
No. They quite clearly designed it to make it look like he was segmented content, in an attempt to trick the lazy consumer.
Let's not pretend Warn Bros "cares". All they care about is extracting as much as possible by any means legally as possible.
I mean, what are these issues the fixing of which you are painting in such a positive light? The technical stuff? Are you trying to say that you're happy these things were being fixed at all?
You can make a defense of the technical problems, but I don't see how you can paint a lot of the ToT/Krypt wombo combo in a positive light.
When I pre-roodered for Shao Kahn, I figured the port probably wasn't gonna be perfect. I didn't mind cause I knew I was gonna play this game anyway, early launch online wasn't make or break for me personally, and MK is a big deal to me.
I had no idea the ToT/Krypt stuff was coming though. I would never have guessed that it was gonna be like that.
Wanting a prem price for sub-par products.
Almost a month later "we are aware of X problem please report!!"
So yes, I'm more concerned about the technical issues. Things being fixed at all is a far cry from what we got with MKX support. We're talking basically no communication, months being behind on balance updates, really bad connectivity issues.
THAT felt like a scam. It also wasn't, it was just terribly supported for PC.
The way this game is being supported is actually perfectly fine. We're only ever a week behind, devs make threads about what they're working on and asking people to send in feedback, etc. Is it perfect? No. But it's noticeably getting better with each update, and I think that's all anyone can ask for.
I guess I just try to see the positives, instead of letting a few negatives ruin the game for me.
Edit: Also, to clarify - I didn't pre-order FOR Shao Kahn. I pre-ordered because I knew I'd like and enjoy the game I'd pay for anyway, so Shao Kahn is more of a bonus.
Correct sadly.
Not that it matters, pretty sure alot of players are just using macros for huge combos.
One of the joys of pc gaming.
Sounds like a scrub excuse for losing and a baseless assumption at best.
guy has a dedicated thread to it as well, seems salty
Except it's not baseless.
Insulting people is though, they call that irony.
