And remember C&C Remaster was ALSO a rumor first ;) but then it turned out to be a fact so I am keeping my fingers crossed!
I also would loved to play MK7. "Deadly alliance trilogy" were quite good.
As much as the guy in that video wants it to be MK, I don't see why a company would combine MK 1-3 (when MKT already exists) and remaster them into one game let alone using UE4. I'm not saying it's out of the realm of possibility, but I'd imagine NetherRealm Studios would want players to focus exclusively on the upcoming MK11 and not share their attention with a remastered MKT from another developer.
I'm sure others can list 3 (let's say mainline) fighting games of a series from the 90s to add to these that could be the focus of this unannounced game.
Battle Arena Toshinden (1995)
Battle Arena Toshinden 2 (1995)
Battle Arena Toshinden 3 (1996)
Virtua Fighter (1993)
Virtua Fighter 2 (1994)
Virtua Fighter 3 (1996)
I'm not trying to burst anyone's bubble; I'm just giving out plausible alternatives. If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on the Virtua Fighter games being combined into "one meta-experience," as the video puts it.
Those characters were 20-25. Kung Jin may have been older.
But you're right: if you are playing it for the storyline first and foremost.... smack. Actually, that goes for any game. Gameplay first.
I haven't pre-ordered yet... still tossed up on what platform to buy it for. I'm still superficial and want the superior gfx, but I also know I'd play it much more if I had it on Switch.
I might just do the rare thing and buy two copies, but for the Steam/PC one maybe I'll wait for the inevitable "GOTY edition" to come out? Gah, I hate being indecisive.
LOL, I know how you feel. I normally just buy it for the PC to support the developers for bringing the game to my preferred gaming platform. If they pull it of correctly this time round at release on PC vs that of MK X, I feel there could be a consistent online player base. I know it wouldn't be patch on console's player numbers, but still, wouldn't mind a relatively healthy player base for the PC.
