It's just a bad ability overall. Even if it works as intended, you can only take one or two hits before getting K.O'd anyway.

It only activates when you're about to lose the whole match, not just the round. But yeah, it's still bad.

exactly, I see it more as a gimmick than a usefull ability. Anyway the terminator is sill OP as hell. Like Kabal his moves are almost all safe but easier to execute.

That laughable ability (a literal waste of HDD space, given it requires TWO(2) slots to equip! 🤣👌) could be seen as the metaphor for the derivative, copy-paste design of the character was a whole: bits and pieces of the most meh aspects of MKX Jason and some Jax, plus IJ2 Bane and Darkseid.

They really missed a once-in-a-generation opportunity with a Terminator license -- T-1000 (Robert Patrick) or T-3000 (Kristanna Loken) could potentially have been the best cameos MK ever had. Indeed, for many reason: not least of which, because their ability suite would have had to have been completely different to any other MK character before them (...which is likely one of the reasons that those particular 'T' models were not chosen: NRS's patented laziness).

Terminator in MK11 reminds me of Yoda in Soul Calibur IV: a 'WTF?!' moment in fighting game history, that won't soon be lived down by those who shåt themselves in making it happen.

To be fair, 90% of MK11's char. abilities are gimmicks. This is easily proofed by watching any given "pro" e-sports spam fest -- where players use only a couple of "BnB" combos (those most optimised for damage) and then down-1-throw themselves to victory... Which is to say nothing of the developer imposed "variations", that restrict the use of most abilities anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It only seems to work in "Final Round" rather than just the second round. It also only activates if you get knocked down, anything that leaves you standing seems to not activate it either.
