Anyway to disable fatalities for ranked?

Yep. Some brutalities are even longer, like that one Robocop one where he shoots the ♥♥♥♥ out of you.

What about the character outros? Some of those take quite a bit too, especially combined with the kurrency updating and online sync, etc. If you would look at the game from their perspective then the whole thing is just a big waste of time then. But if they consider it wasting their time so much, and they are really getting fatalitied in every single set, after every single match, then why even play?

I bet they are just repeating what they heared others say, instead of having their own thoughts.

Also, I'm pretty sure there is a reason for that too if everyone wants to kill them after playing against them. LOL.

Exactly this, not to mention that I barely meet anyone who does a fatality (at least in KL,I don't play other online modes)..So I am sure that if they always run into some guy who does a fatality on them..I can only assume he does it because they were annoying af.
I almost never do a fatality unless the opponent is annoying.

Fatalities wouldn't be half as fun if your opponent can just skip them. As much as you may dislike them in competitive, they serve as a way to grind you as a player down emotionally in a sanctioned way. I think it adds a layer of strategic psychological ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ especially when even in high level tournaments, the occasional fatality gets pulled.

Didn't you read the earlier posts made by these guys? No logic is allowed here. Only emotions. If someone doesn't like something or feel that it's unfair then it should be removed.

On a serious note though, I love that quote and I completely agree with everything you just said. But fatalities also serve as a good way to end matches and lets not forget that it is just simply entertaining for a lot of people. Mortal Kombat would be nowhere now if they didn't have fatalities or the stories or all the interesting and unique characters. These people only care about the meaningless numbers and high damaging combos and tryhard ♥♥♥♥ like that. They can't appreciate the awesome graphics, character models, beautiful stages, music, amazing voice acting, etc!

Edit: I mean, it's nice that everyone can like something else about MK, but they shouldn't ask for stuff to be removed... Ask for things to be added, not removed. Don't ruin others fun for no good reason.

you talk about other people's fun (priorities) much, but in reality you are the ones refusing to respect others' priorities to begin with. players that have much fun with watching fatal-s have plenty other modes (casual matches, towers, even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fatality training) for that (and again, i believe, many people would prefer the feature to skip their own fatal-s as well during heads/character towers grind, y'know?). the ranked mode is to compete and to grind skins and gears rewards, not to have fun watching casual cinematic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (again, in a well-designed mk game, which mk11 is not)

fatal-s' duration is just a POOR design choice to begin with (esp. in regard to competetive mode) - as well as fatal blow animations' duration, as well as victory outros (which you could skip back in mkx, btw, if you remeber that), as well as twice-thrice-long brutalities - and this is, like, topic many people have brought up since prerelease. i meah, why the ♥♥♥♥ do you even laugh at any amount of seconds of players' time? the game's already designed horribly time-consuming (towers grind, customization menus, matchmaking, undeclinable wifi matches, some moves animations, fb animations, outros animations, whatever bs else), so even 5-10sec of worthless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just make it futhermore annoying, what's so funny...

whatsoever, you seem like pretending they're nonexistant, but you still have way quicker (in general) brutality-finishers, for whatever heritage gore-aesthetics or dismoraling purposes -_- and again this still is so amusing to me, to read preachings to be tolerant of and have fun with fatal-s, along with their demoralizing, mental hurting purposes, at same time, sheesh, can't help myself
