What's the Point of DX12?
I find when I turn on DX12, the game runs about the same, looks about the same, but has much longer load times. What exactly does it improve?

Either way it now seems mostly to be a relic. It only makes sense if you have powerful recent hardware and are running high resolution.

Those load times would eventually get much lower after you build your cache.

that's not to ♥♥♥♥ on NRS or QLOC and say it's not a proper port. but they wanted more freedom to better support the platform or something.

when you load something the first time, stage, character, particle effects on konsumables, whatever, the shaders must be compiled. once whatever you're loading has all been loaded before, DX12 load times go down.

I use DX12. It looks better than DX11 but your need more ram, more cpu, more everything.

Screenshots would be great.

Like 2-3 times. Totally worth it.

DX12 looks better and more smooth for sure but the loading time killing that.Difference is like 2-3 times between dx12 and 11

I've been playing only on DX12 since MK11 launched and it's been fine. However with every DLC, Aftermath and Ultimate, they screw the AA (FXAA and TAA). It takes a few patches and driver updates for it to go back to normal.

My setup is:
7700k
Vega 56
16gb RAM
SSD
1080p

With twice more powerful PC than recommended and SSD, sure.

DX12 kinda useless (talking about myself using HDD), I can't really identify the differences, also some FPS drop on DX12
PC Specs
16GB DDR4 3000Mhz
Gigabyte 1660 Super Gaming OC 6GB
Ryzen 5 3600

I get better performance on 12 also the krypt runs better if you are into that, it depends on your system.

That's just a lie. UE3, DRM and DX12 are just not working together on any system, especially in half-аssed port like of MK11. It only means you have serious problems with DX11 for some reason.

Pretty glad im not the only one who was wondering this. I found it to be slower than the DX11 version (Ryzen 2700x and 1660 super, 32gb 3000mhz crucial ram, mp510 2tb SSD for all my games)

KInda perplexes me that i still get stutter on a system like this, not high end i know, but would have thought MK11 would be okay at everything maxed out. Oddly enough i have noticed that some updates gave made it better some worse, though im not sure if the optimise option on the GeForce Experience makes a difference (it literally sets everything to max apart from shadows) 2560 x1440 i forgot to add :D
