Is this game playable with a keyboard and are you at a disadvantage against controller / console players, if crossplay is enabled?

Yes, it's playable on keyboard.

Actually keyboard is better from objective point of view, since it's pretty much just like a hitbox type controller.

Keyboard won't hold you back if that's your concern, and there's no crossplay and it wouldn't be a disadvantage anyway.

This will be my first fighting game so i'm reluctant about buying it, i'm afraid i won't be able to get used to it on a keyboard because i downloaded injustice 2 online just to try what it feels like to play on a keyboard and i struggled a lot and didn't know what i was doing.

That's pretty much how all fighting games work if you lack experience. Controller type won't change much.
