I can't invite my friend to join the match, because of connection problem, anyone same?

Me and my friend used to play MK11 via online private match, but since we purchased aftermath, we cannot invite each other to join the game, it always says conversation no longer available. We tried re-download the game and steam, use web accelerator, almost everything, but none of these works. We enter the same match room but can't challenge each other, literally no way to play together. Also when I search online matches, it used to be like 1 or 2 mins waiting, but now 30 mins with no response. Anyone has the save problem? or know the solution? Much appreciated !!!

After paying $40 for the expansion, some people can no longer play the full game. No helpful advice from the devs either.
