I know it's literally his sole purpose, but he gets spectacularly ♥♥♥♥ on so much and so often in Aftermath (even compared to the main story), to the point where I just kinda start feeling a bit sorry for him lol.
Sure, he gets some moments where he shines, and he effectivelly cannot be killed - but like, has he ever achieved ANY of the tasks that Kronika gave him? Like at all?
Even at the end when he shows up in his armor and almost pathetically asks Shao Kahn and Sindel for help, they just bash his brains in for his trouble. :P
Cetrion = can grow bigger than the earth. gets defeated anyway.
He does some badass ♥♥♥♥ in cutscenes, and we are constantly reminded he cannot die, but it really feels like whenever it's time to actually fight him - it's again just about the heroes coming up with yet another way to keep him at bay or humiliating him further. xD
But he does suffer the fate of another jobber and his isn't the worst case.
Fighting game stories have always had an issue with managing power levels to an extent, but it felt especially bad here for some reason.
