How does 1 Unlock "Red & Yellow" Character ICONS?

For some of the towers once you beat it, you return to the same tower. Then turn on "brutal difficulty". I don't see too many people with those icons cause those are nearly impossible to get.

Hmmmm... I got 1 or 2 without even playing those Modes... oh well...

The little icons you can choose when creating/editing a character variation. Doesn't serve any purpose and you don't even notice it or pay attention to itt so....

Ya, the ones in yellow are the ones im interested in the most... the icons are not all that impressive or useful...

but hey, mise well collect them anyways ...
