I am no expert in the lore. But I believe in MK9 Skarlet was a female ninja. By MK11 she is a cross vampire and witch theme.
The costumes in MK9 were all unique though, too. I liked MKX's rendition of Kitana's tournament costume. I think it's a shame we didn't get to see that in MK11. Same for a similar costume for Jade. We got to see a Tanya redesign in MKX which was also good
I mean, I don't care if I am a weeb or ♥♥♥♥, it is something I was used to and I really liked them. It would be nice to have them at least as bonus.
I'm ok to have more "realistic" (?) costumes during the story mode, but hey... give us those ti**ies back ploz.
I'm not really a fan of the art direction for certain characters. We should've gotten MKX Tournament Kitana, a similar rendition of Jade's MK9 costume, MK9 Skarlet and MKX Sonya Tournament. Then it would be more fitting imo. Just for the record though, those costumes are definitely not realistic XD. All the guys fight barechested and the girls fight in heels
I was really impressed, in particular with how intricate a design Shang Tsung's is in MK11
Nice guide!
