This is also a slap in the face of cosplayers who routinely dress up in the revealing costumes of MK9 which leads to free PR of the game. The revealing costumes in MK9 demonstrated the attitude and empowerment of the women that they were not afraid of a man seeing their skin. This was very admirable. MK9 ladies like Sonya, Kitana and Jade not only looked amazing, they were the epitome of female empowerment.
