Trailer Song
Why is it rap and not metal or something similar? Mortal Kombat is ♥♥♥♥ing brutal I don't think of people doing drive-by's or selling drugs while playing the series... The OG Mortal Kombat can also just be used by every game too!

I think the 10 trailer was great, the only problem with 11's is its not a melodic haze game, and even then, the melodic haze wasnt great

Wow that trailer song is even worse than this one

As someone who loves rap. Death Metal would fit the series, imo.

Something like DOOM 2016 / Meshuggah, etc.

All I'm saying is that if your game is about exploding peoples heads or ripping them off metal does a lot better to build hype than rap does

Metal is overrated garbage. Melodic Death Metal is the only good metal. Synthwave is number 1 though.

I don't listen to rap, but I liked the song and the trailer, it was good.
Because it has been that way since the MKX reveal trailer, you dummy. Check your facts. They follow up the tradition.

Ahh yes the tradition of putting a genre that doesn't fit at all with the game. Love the tradition

fits pretty well when done with a song that complements it. mkx complemented the gameplay perfectly, this one just doesn't.

nah, having metal would be good if you are cutting a trailer of just hits, not a fight itself.

Hit the nail on the head.

Horrible song for a Mortal Kombat trailer, let's hope that they don't mess up the game in a similar way.

That music is jarring

I can't stand pop/rap. It all sounds the exact same. Why did they put a dumbass rap song in the trailer? It sounded terrible. It was good til that stupid crap. (Big face palm) I can think of so many metal songs or better yet they could of put in a really cool sounding orchestra piece in and it would have been fine. SMH big time.

I think you all missed the point of the rap within the context of its reveal. Ed Boon was announcing the winner of the best sports/racing game of the year, and then interuppted the ceremony with this video. And then after the trailer he said "Oops I think they played the wrong video".

This IS the kind of song you would hear in a sports game trailer.

I liked the song. I always find it interesting that metal heads get all uppity over music in Mortal Kombat. Industrial doesn't belong to the metal heads and it was 90s industrial that basically defined MK in the 90s; not... any metal for that matter. So exactly WHEN was Mortal Kombat ever metal? Oh and... brutal aesthetics doesn't belong to JUST metal either. Old Appalacian murder ballads would have a word with metal on that even. Metal is some pretty good music; but the metal fans need to stay in their lane.

Rap/pop needs to stay in their worlds where it belongs. By the way rap/pop all sound the same. Listen to the tempos and how they never change, or if they do "change" it is minimal at best. Metal varies greatly including bands in same genre. The brutality of MK doesn't mix with rap. I'm a huge metal head, and while some metal songs would have fit this trailer, they should have went with the classic theme song of MK, or had some sort of orchestral piece insstead of that aweful rap tune.
