Skins AND Gear Sets coming to MK11

So with the more details about getting 7 skins and 7 gear sets with the Premium Purchase, it looks like to me we are getting both the good and the bad. Why can't they just keep the bad out of a great game that only ever needs Skins and Pressing Start/Alternate Colors

Unless the Gear Sets in MK11 has made a major godly improvement from IJ2 I have no hope that the gears are going to look appealing or natural in this game.
