So the only way to fix this problem is to wait for an update from developers? That sucks a bit

OP, I was having the same problem as you before but what seemed to have fix my problem was to download the latest windows update (strange I know) but they dropped a pretty big update some hours ago, might be worth a try. Since then I haven't been experiencing any slow-mo/lag. Having frameskip ON also helps (im sure you've already tried).

I had the same problem playing on default settings.

Try this:

Add the game from Borderless to Fullscreen on your native resolution
Vsync OFF
Dynamic Resolution ON
Frameskip ON

then in advanced options:

Textures to HIGH
change from TAA to FXAA
Antialiasing to 2x or maximum at 8x
Lightings and Shadows to LOW
Particles to LOW
everything else to OFF

In my case is working perfectly on an old laptop with M860GTX and 8 GB RAM. Ineeded I was forced to change Dynamic Resolution to ON and some tweaks in advanced graphics options but now is working perfectly with high textures.
Doesn't work and lags even more than before :/

So i just checked windows updates in settings but there's nothing there and everything is white except the words "Windows Update". Am i doing something wrong or do i already have the latest update and it just doesn't show anything?

Yep, I am having the exact same problem. Everything is updated and I have tried all the various "fixes" people have posted and even at the worst resolution and set to the worst possible graphics it is just constantly slow.

I am in the same boat with the fps, and frame skip, like you said, just causes the game to drop to like 10 fps. 970 FTW (4gb)/ i7 @ 3.5/ 16GB

This worked perfectly. At first it didn't. Turns out after you do the first settings you have to click accept BEFORE you go to change the advanced settings portion. Then of course accept those changes also before you exit. Thanks so much! 😈

Make sure you clicked accept after changing the first normal settings BEFORE you go to do the changes in the advanced screen otherwise soon as you exit those part of the changes revert back to what they were before. That's what happened the first time I tried and I went back and noticed the first set of setting changes reverted back soon as I exited the settings area. Hope that helps.
