They added same skips and easy fatalities into MK11, plus there will be microtransactions for cosmetics, such as armor, weapons, etc.
Nothing new, nothing unique.
Plus Kombat Pass with 4 characters and i guess there will be atleast 2 more, or 3.

Is this a surprise? I go to work everyday, with a goal to earn a new Fatality when I get back. If there was no progression, then what would I do after work? Play with a Vajang and piss people off all the time? I already tried that, worked for a while but got boring.

Well we haven't played the game in steam, the krypt system might be generous giving a lot of rewards like fatalities. We don't even know how much koins we generate and what alternative ways there are to get unlockables.

If its anything like MKX i hope theres like a buff to increase koins earned cause it was pretty slow. The only way to cheese it was through custom kombat by putting 1 hit kills and basically do a d'asta brutality each time with chars like tremor and company. Hopefully some will find something similiar

NRS said they are going to develop the game for a long time so im pretty sure they will look at tweaking koin income
NerdigerNerd 21 kwietnia 2019 o 8:23
earning koins is slow since they started back in MKDA in 2002. It took a ton of hours to unlock everything.

Yes grind and microtransactions are a real problem and should be taken care of. There is no reason why there shouldn't be progression in a game but making it purpesfully painfully grindy with oportunity to pay more money for content you already paid for?

Yikes

I don't know about you. But when I play a game I play it because it's fun. I don't play it to grind out "A reward" that's slowed down to encourage you to spend money in their MTX store. I didn't do it for SF5 and I won't do it here.

I'll play MK11 because I liked MKX. I'll continue to play the game as long as it's fun. Earning a reward from playing - fine. But I don't play to earn the reward.

I never understood the "You already paid for" argument.

On one hand people jerk old games off for locking bonus characters behind convoluted secret encounters and ♥♥♥♥ like that, on the other they hate it if you have to work for them with an option to just not have to work for it.

It's like playing Diablo and being like "I already paid for the game, why do I have to find equip, I already paid for it"

I understand that people dislike microtransactions. Less so DLCs tbh.

But jesus ♥♥♥♥. Some people have more times than others and some people have more money than others. If you have both there should be no problem. if you only have one, then use that as much as you can to have fun, if you have neither, get a new hobby.

As long as it's not intrusive and has no influence on the fairness of the game, there's no reason to be upset.

You dont pay for content you already paid for, you pay for content, because you lack the time, willpower or determination to earn it.
Can't help but feel that people have been spoiled by how convinent everything is now. Need to find a secret or unlock guide? Internet. Now, if they don't unlock things as fast as they want? Say its bad and complain. Got to have everything at their speed. What happen to fighting games being about fighting?

Fun is a subjective term and that is fair for you; if you don't like it you have the right to speak it out but i hate how most of these discussions just end up cursing at each other points

There is a difference between a game mechanic involving progression like said Diablo or Wticher where you find drops get rewards from quests find secrets etc. etc. and making the game purposefully more grindy and difficult to the point you just might want to skip it putting more money into it.

That's typical practice of F2P and mobile market not full-retail priced products.

Your comparasion to Diablo couldn't miss more. Fundamentally changing the system stacking odds against you while offering you option to "save time" by purchasing a skip is different than core gameplay of RPG, Hack'n"slash or whatever other genre you want to bring into the table.

Remember how Diablo 3 did the marketplace thingy so you would painfully grind for gear that wasn't even meant for you and usually it had pretty bad stats so you would need to trade it (OBIVOUSLY WITH A SHARE IN COMPANY FAVOR) for real money?
Yeah that changed really quickly and game become much more enjoyable even tho you still need to fight enemies, loot and progress through it.

You never know how calculated the system involving real money is. You never know numbers behind it. I only know that publishers don't care about your enjoyment and they don't even know what they publish for the most part. All they care is money. Not some of it but every possible bit of it.

I dont know but from what I saw on stream you can just input the commands and do 2nd fatality w/o going through krypt/tot.
Might be just some fatalities, might be all, who knows

What? If anything people did it to make real money from the D3 auction house. Hell, it was pretty much the only thing to do until Seasons and paragon came out.
