you do punch punch down left and for some reason something on down left + punch will be used even without pressing punch
it performs the special move by releasing the button, instead of having to press it again
It's negative edge. As others have mentioned, there's an option to turn it off.
Alternatively, negative edge means special moves trigger when you let go of a button. So when you do forward+4, 1, back-forward+4 ... you're actually doing forward 4, 1, back-forward+releasing 1, so you're getting the wrong move. Possible solutions: Either tap 1 faster and try to delay back-forward+4 as long as you can, or just hold 1 down until after the combo ends (ie, forward+4, 1(and hold it), back-forward+4, release 1.
mostly happened during practice as kabal, and i gave up him because of this nonsence
