Yeah I was dissapointed by the story as well. But its what happens when social justice people write stories. Instead of making strong women that sit on their own they have to bring every one down to rise women up to the point where the story makes no sense. For example

Kitana beats shao khan. Wow, really?! Well why the hell did she never do it all these years? She didn't recieve any aditional training, no power ups nothing she is the same kitana brought back from i believe mk2. And she single handedly beats shao khan.

Then you have kotal beating shao khan which fine he has access to blood magic, he was locked up by khan because he percieved him as beeing a danger (dunno why he didnt just kill him) but w/e

Then you have jade beating kotal. So Jade > Kotal > Shao khan

You guys do realize its hard to take shao khan seriously anymore after this. Like literally he is no threat at this point.

kitana strong suit was diplomacy and that of a ruler. She was also the one who brought the best in people by supporting liu kang and helping him fight with love in his heart.

Jade never really had a character either then kitanas side kick. But neither are powerful lore wise.

if it was Sindel that managed to beat shao khan id of understood, or cetrion which is an elder god yeah it would of made sense. But you literally had the B team steping up.

Tbh its just as eye rolling when johny cage beat shinock now that i think about it. But at least they had the muh green light argument

Yeah it is weird how they can make even kortal khan beat shao khan. I remember shao khan from mortalkombat 9. Now that was shao khan lol almost unbeatable on the hardest difficult lol.

To be fair, Kotal Kahn got jobbed pretty hard in MKX as well. I chalked up the loss to fighting multiple people (he fought Kotal before his fight with Kitana) and from a story perspective Shao Kahn did teach Kitana how to fight, so she shouldn't be completely helpless. As for why she never bothered fighting back (Kronika's destiny locking her to her fate?) she was probably too afraid to (with all those other armies bolstering her, she probably had more confidence.

Both Kahns got screwed. I like both Shao and Kotal. Shao is the power, Kotal is the wisdom. But both of their story arcs were poorly done. It would of been better if Shao and Kotal killed each other in a power struggle. No offense to Jade or Kitana characters but how did either of them beat Kotal or Shao? It doesn't make sense at all.

You know the guy with a undead army who could have been their from day. The person who beat raiden and the deadly alliance and you know could only be defeated by combine all the powers of earthrealm's defenders.... But nah kronika just recruit the single minded and moronic brute clearly you deserve to win wwith the such brilliant tactics like that

As far as i know the centaurs are still around if they were killed before the game that would be something but it was estiblished in the mkx comic that after shao khan's death the shokan went to war with kotal khan and his people
