How do you do the Skarlet/Baraka tutorial part?

I'm stuck on this, where it wants me to perfect block and then do up+2. The trouble is about half the time when I manage to do it, Skarlet doesn't do anything but get knocked back despite me pressing the buttons, or if it does do the kick, it starts but she gets hit out of it. Am I doing something wrong? I'm not sure what else I can do.

alright jokes aside, try to mimic the timing of the tutorial that's the only way really.

I had the same issue meep. I put the controller down after trying for 20 minutes and used the keyboard, got it on attempt #2.

By complete accident, like me. This is easily the most frustrating part of the tutorial (most of the time you won't even use Flawless Blocks purposefully anyway, unless you're a high level competitive person).

I pretty much just tried my best to time the second block and mashed up+2 every single time until it worked on like attempt 400.

I'm retarded, what was messing me up was that I was still holding block. In case anyone reading this doesn't know you have to quickly let go of block and THEN do the move.

I have finished every tutorial with a gamepad but I have heard that people who had hard time finishing them had better luck to change to keyboard exlusively to complete that perfect block tutorial.
