[Discussion] Less Battle Damage than previous instalments?

TLDR:
I notice less battle damage during matches (Excluding cinematic) when compared to previous instalments.

I was playing mk9 past few days and Watched Aris's stream of MK11. I notice that cloths and body of the character takes less damage when compared to mk9 during the match itself. Our whole character could get covered in red in some 3 round matches in mk9.

I am downloading mk11 RN to check this.

yeah cause it looked like ♥♥♥♥ when your character had ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chunks of flesh missing all over their bodies at the end of the fight, its not that complicated

I dont remember mk9 gore system. But i agree with above
In injustice i hated the chunks of flesh missing.

Hell in this game the human characters (specificly cassie cage) scared face during fatal blows freaks me out

Frankly I think it's a little more...well regulated in the gore department. Some of the stuff in MKX got a little silly. When I say silly I don't mean overtly bloody I mean it just looked cartoony. There's a sweet spot of gore and if it that spot is passed you're basically just drenching the screen in buckets of blood and viscera and the whole thing loses meaning, especially when characters get right back up. I don't have a lot of good things to say about MK11 but this is one of them.
