Is Erron Black just too strong?
I don't usually like characters to be nerfed cause you need to play them many times before complaining, but I did and Erron Black seems to have every tool in the book, he has fast and long pokes, fast and difficult to see projectiles, a 4 hit overhead combo, long distance 50/50s, the venom jar that takes you out of your defensive position, anti air and anti zoning tools, a parry, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fullscreen fatal blow, he's by far the best character in the game with the most features to deal with anything.
Do you think he's op and needs a nerf?

Does he have a lot of tools? Yes. Is he OP (defined as having 8-2/9-1 matchups)? Mmmm.. probably not.

I'd have to play against him a lot more to make that conclusion, but I've been getting wins against him with D'vorah semi-regularly. Does that mean they're ♥♥♥♥ Erron Black players? Sometimes, but other times I can tell they know what they're doing and I'm just reading the right things at the right times.
What I'm saying is that there isn't nothing you can do about his tools, and you can punish them if you know the answers.

Great video, and he's specifically chooses Erron Black as the first example, and I agree he has every tool and also he's safe while doing it, the variation system is a joke, for example sub zero's competitive variations are a joke only 2 special moves? you can't do anything against anyone once hey figured out the strings.

No, you can't punish them watch the video the guy posted above.

He definitely needs adjusting , it's been widely agreed he's very effecting at dealing with any situation while having very little weaknesses. I'm glad iv'e so far haven't had to deal with him or Gerras much at all online, though i do get a lot of annoying sub zeroes and their insanely fast mix ups that make trying to figure out where the hell to do block a nightmare, even when you know it's coming, it can still get you at a bad moment, i find myself avoiding sometimes people if they have sub zero in their player card, though that might be more of my personal issue i have with dealing with sub, the few matches i had with Erron went smoother then the matches i had against Subs.

I wanna agree with this guy but he counters his own ideas several times over. Saying things like "Erron black isnt OP and doesnt need all these changes" And then following it with something like "His variation gets 0 drawbacks of the other variation, and all of the advantages". SO either erron black doesnt need changes, or his variation is way overpowered because its essentially 2 variations in one, which is something most or none of the characters have. Which means he is better than most of the other characters inherently as he has a full set of variation bonuses on a single variation. With this in mind clearly he should be changed so his variations are equal and he is the same "power" as everybody else.

So which is it?

Is he fine and not overpowered and doesnt need changes to his variation kit?

Or he isnt fine, and he is overpowered, and he does need changes to his variation kit.

It has to be only one.

Yeah I agree with you, I mean you can't say this variation has zero disadvantages and not being broken, but I made my own conclusions from that video and I definitely think EB needs some reworking at least make the variations do what they're supposed to do.
