Bad performance on RX580 / offline online
Hello MK community,
I tested MK11 one month ago my old iGpu (HD530, i7-6700K) and immediately i understood that even at the lower resolution, and the bare setting, I couldn't play. (I got 20-30fps :steammocking: on that silly benchmark with sub-zero and scorpion)
OK MK 11 is not much optimised or retro-compatible.

So, last week I bought an RX 580 sapphire 'pulse' 8GB, which looking at many videos on YT
it should hold a 60fps on HD/FullHD with mid to high setting... (1080px?1800px? width).
BUT when finally yesterday (I bought and) played MK11, using the HDMI from the RX to my TV...

...I got about the half than expected.
I got a 13xxpx as maximum resolution, with a framerate moving from 20 to 40 fps.
Setting mid to high, with low particle ecc.

My question is what's happening? It's m RX 580 which is faulty, or need some fine setup :steambored: Or my i7-6700K is already a bottleneck??!

or... the game is dropped in fps after the latest update? (also on offline)

help, and thanks

Something else is going on with your machine. Its not the game.

From what i know is that the intel cpus are having problems with the port, but it could very well be your motherboard or ram being falty, please check other games as well.

Ok I supposed.
Some more info: the card has 6 days. last week I did some mining (ethereum), using the "compute mode".
Let's say for 8-12 hours for 4 days.

That mining could have slower even down the card??!

Also testing with Tekken 7 at the first day the card "ruled" the game at high/ultra setting,
while when I played 2 day ago (with T 7) I had 35 to 50 fps at 2500px width...

Even in Tekken 7, 30-50fps is a problem. You should be running at 60fps at all times. If you aren't you either need to lower settings or resolution. But judging by your PC specifications that might not be the problem, if I had to guess it would be that your gpu isn't running at full capacity. You can try using a program to monitor your gpu usage.

In advanced settings (there you choose quality of textures atc.), try to swap PARTICLES SETTINGS from CPU to GPU. Cant realy explain this, but i am not suffering from fps drops anymore. gl

35 to 50 widescreen 1080p? then its for sure your PC,something is faulty.

A computer can still run and have faulty hardware at the same time, his performances compared to his hardware is not normal for 1080p,he should be getting 60fps at max 1080p in BFV and he cant even get that in tekken? my bet is that something is faulty,he just has to figure out what.

Yes. Tekken 7 is now an old game, and I knew I can max out with the RX 580.
Basically I completed my build which was an early 2017 Pc/hackintosh rig with
i7-6700K / hd530 igpu
16GB ram ballistik sport (2000 mhz ?)
Samsung 850 sata3
on a Asrock 'Fatality' :steamhappy: z270 which is good and has TB.

My complains are about the AD/DC hdplex 350W, but I never had shutdown, even when PC was mining at 25mh/s with GPU at 100% load

Brother honestly what i would do is get it checked in a computer shop or something, because for sure its something wrong and if you cant find what you should let them.

If your power supply is only 350W that might be the problem, as RX580 has a 500W power supply minimum requirement. But taking your PC somewhere to get it checked probably is the best decision.

500W minumum for the 580 and put another 100 for the cpu,a 600 watt should do just fine for your pc.

Your CPU and GPU should be enough for 1080p high.
Unless you have less than 8GB of ram I see no way how your PC could be insufficient.

BTW: MK11 works well with 8 but given how strong CPU and GPU you have I recommand you to have at least 16GB because many newest games which are cofortable with your strong CPU and GPU will be uncomfortable with 8GB.

Update.
I did 3 windows updates may that where waiting, then re-installed the Adrenaline drvers from AMD. It's a little better, but somewhat far from expected.

This is the gpu stats while doing pratice mode.

But I mined at full GPU, at 25mh/s, and 100% load. It's not the PSU...

Your PSU is way too low for that machine. There is no arguing about it. 350w is way too low. And you are mining on it too? You don't know what you are doing.

It was a test. :-)
I am now doing some test on MK11. I noticed that the FPS in that benchmark, no matter how much I higher the setting, it's always at 34FPS average!
It's like something in the software is keeping there. Maybe the game benchmark is so buggy...
Now I am with a 2500x 1440x with high setting.

Soon i will download cinebench, and unigine valley to check.

PS When mining, the wattage is not a detail. Following the community on cudo, the real consumption of the RX580 is 130W (at 100%, standard firmware),
+
the i7 is 91W (https://ark.intel.com/content/www/it/it/ark/products/88195/intel-core-i7-6700k-processor-8m-cache-up-to-4-20-ghz.html),
+ the SSD sata.
I am below the 300W of my (very good and fanless) PSU, which is 300+350W on boost.
Never had a shudown.
