How do I even log in to the MK 11 servers?

I bought this game when it first came out and I couldn't do anything online or in the Krypt because I was not logged in to the MK servers. I took time to move and have updated my internet for work, but still cannot log in to the MK servers.

There isn't even a button to connect or log in. Am I missing something or did I just spend 60 bucks to play the same tower and not collect any in-game currency to progress?

Make sure you're set to online, when I had issues with the server, if it wasn't down for everyone I figured it was because I was set to offline. It's really stupid but looks like it uses your online status

1. turn on vpn if you live in russia
2. launch the game
3. open steam overlay browser
4. google "mortal kombat 11 official website" in it ( https://mk11.mortalkombat.com/ )
5. create account
6. confirm account on you email
7. log in into your account in steam overlay browser
8. check online features. now it should works

why there are no 1337 iq in system requirements?
