(Alt+f4 in theory counts as a loss also)
Lol no. Just L2P and you can play both with success (positive KL and plenty of goodies if you call that success), it doesn't take a rocket scientist to learn a character.
Also don't be shocked if the game just abruptly closed due to poor connection. MK servers have sucked so bad.
For example, you claim that 'KL is so one-sided'. It isn't. The league itself doesn't care, and it's not purposely matching you up with people better than you. Chances are you're just losing because other people trained/practiced more. Gitting gud is taking that loss, watching the replay, and try to figure out WHEN (it's usually a lot earlier than the fatality screen) and HOW you lost. Then you can work on how to NOT get into that situation again.
Early on in the game, I was struggling a lot against Kung Lao players. His teleport just seemed too damn strong. Whenever they did it, I blocked low and they did the overhead, or I blocked high and they did the grab. Every time.
I didn't complain about Kung Lao's teleport or moaned that the character needed nerfs. I went into the lab and eventually figured out that with good timing, Cassie (my secondary) can jab him out of the startup as he comes out of the ground and convert into a combo. From that point on, the Kung Lao matchup was no longer a problem for me. I Got Gud.
P.S: You just gotta flap your arms hard enough, man. You're just not doing it right. :P
If people can't handle a 30 second fatality they shouldn't play mortal kombat. It is what made the game popular after all. I personally don't do them online but if someone does it to me I'm not gonna quit like a little bytch
If you really want to watch their character die do a brutality.
I mean this as a kindness; You should look up EMDR Therapy if you haven't already. It has helped countless people suffering from PTSD.
(I work in psychiatry and I'm not being smart or messing with you. It's an honest recommendation.)
Guys, get laid.
