MSX vs XX?

Hey
Quick question...are there any differences betwen X and XX?
Only wondering about this.
Iv seen the reviews and the comments about how badly ported the game is.
So...what are the difference?

X = upgraded Metal Slug 2

XX = upgraded Metal Slug 7 (previously Nintendo DS exclusive)

Metal Slug X and Metal Slug XX are just enhanced versions of Metal Slug 2 and 7 respectively...

There are no direct link between those 2 (outside the fact they're enhancement that came one year after their respective numbered title)
