So, no online coop?
The description brings local coop to focus and neither the store description nor the trailer make any mention of online coop. The game also lacks the online coop tag (Even though it has the more generic "coop" tag which can mean ANYTHING really).

So, does this have online coop or not? Anyone with the game please give it a try.

From the trailer, only local co-op.

You could still play it online using Parsec.

Damn, $20 for no online is steep.

$20 is way too much for signifigantly reducing the value of the title.

It's local co-op.
If you own other Metal Slug games on Steam, check your inventory for a 20% off coupon. I think I got mine specifically for owning Metal Slug X.

A friend just confirmed it, no online coop whatsoever.

I'll wait for a deeper discount then.

$20 for no online co-op despite 3 and X having it? No sale.

I know, its crazy.

At least on PSP, ad-hoc was easier to plan around.

On May 26, 2004, Metal Slug 3 released for the original XBox and featured online co-op utilizing the first iteration of XBox Live.

15 years later, Metal Slug XX, a port of a 9 year old game, releases for the biggest digital distribution platform on PC with no online co-op for a ridiculous price considering the fact.

If I may be frank with you SNK, your chit ain't been so hot lately. I mean, Garou: Mark of the Wolves is widely regarded as a masterpiece of 2D fighting. How in the world did you screw up that port? More importantly, how in the world did you LET that port get screwed up? Last Blade? Same deal.

Now you want to port a couch co-op only version of a 9 year old game for 20 bux in 2019? Your azz must be smoking crack! Fuq you SNK.

Ya this is quite steep for no online coop and they should add it and update the game this is 2019 there is no reason why this game shouldn't have online coop!

For anybody wondering, the X360/X1 (BC) version had online co-op and even leaderboards, they should have ported that version instead of the PS4 port, but forgot to put mostly PC optimizations.
This is the sort of price I'd expect to pay for all of them, not just MS7!

And no online co-op makes it even worse!

They should have ported it from xbox but that made no sense to them so they did it from ps4 that had no online coop so sad this could have been a great port and they botched by picking it from a different console :(.

Then they shouldn"t have added online coop to ant of them in the first place. There is no way this is worth 2-3 times the prices of the other games. No one is gonna have a stroke but we were hoping this would follow suit and success of the other 4 metal slug gamea but instead we got this mess.

Charging more is fine due to the game needing to be actually ported and not shoved on an emulator, but netplay is extra mandatory past $15.

Well I'm passing on this one but will continue enjoying the previous ones.
