Which specific joystick? Which arcade panel? At a minimum, either one should be able to support keyboard emulation on some level to provide compatibility. While this may not exactly be ideal, it should at least get the controller working with XX.
For example, my X-Arcade dual-joystick allows keyboard key mapping through software. It also provides the ability to reprogram the joystick movements / buttons to correspond to specific keyboard keys directly through the hardware itself. Either of these options would get that particular product working in XX.
The way I see it, you have two options:
1. Hope that the devs add native PS4 controller support to XX, which should allow the TES and Alpha to work natively. Honestly this scenario, while possible, is probably unlikely.
2. Get the joysticks working in Windows / Steam using an online tutorial and additional software. This is probably the most likely way you'll get compatibility.
I found this article that provides instructions on getting a PS4 controller working in Steam. It also details how to install and configure DS4Windows for more general compatibility.

I'd suggest you give it a try!
