Game is crashing at launch!

After choosing my resolution at the first window and then as soon as i try to start the game, it crashes! I've tried every res option and also tried running as admin, and all compatibility options and it is still crashing

Had the same issue. After setting both "Metal Slug XX.exe" and "MSI _main.exe" compatibility mode with admin rights, the game finally started.

I open the game, but it closes after the SNK logo. My notebook exceeds all requirements necessary to reproduce.
Does anyone know what can it be?

same problem, since day 1, devs said they would fix it in a future patch, many months ago, they never did, then they disappeared and never again responded to any of the comments of the bugs left by the community.
I bought a game that according to the requirements you ask should be able to play perfectly. I didn't make a refund because the devs had said they would fix it.
I have been cheated. They could have problems if I made a complaint for a scam, but I don't have time or energy to get into those things

Try this workaround:
"steamapps\common\Pineapple\Metal Slug XX.exe" - compatibility for Windows 8

Worked for my PC - Win 10 (1909), Intel i5-4670, 8GB DDR3 SDRAM

I additecd opition of admin at game and his finally opened. Well, I found other problem, the controls no works. They're configurated for the buttons of the notebook, but no works... Anyway, any have idea about this?

Same issue here. I got one playthrough of the game with a friend when I bought it, and now it just crashes after the SNK intro.

Looks like it's time to go back to the choppy DotEmu ports. At least they actually run.

I was getting crash after SNK logo but once I set both exe files (Metal Slug XX.exe & MSXX_main.exe) to run as admin, it worked :) ...
